With the Helmjet, Sexten gained a new high-performance link to the ski and hiking mountain Helm/Monte Elmo (2,050 m) in autumn 2020. The modern 10-person gondola (GD10) replaces the former aerial tramway, which was taken out of service after around 40 years, and connects the valley to the top station in under six minutes—fast, comfortable and reliable.
Over a 2,206 m line length, the lift overcomes a 728 m vertical rise and reaches a capacity of up to 2,400 passengers per hour. This significantly reduces waiting times and helps manage visitor flows efficiently in both summer and winter. A premium ride experience is ensured by 58 Symphony-10 cabins (design by Pininfarina) featuring internal ski racks and padded loden seats—functional, refined and highly comfortable.
As a key component of the area’s tourism infrastructure, the Helmjet strengthens Monte Elmo as a destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts and provides a lasting upgrade to resort access.
