Located in the heart of Bolzano’s historic city centre, within the Baroque Palazzo Campofranco between Walther Square and Piazza del Grano, Meta Suites is an exclusive hospitality project that sensitively combines historical heritage with contemporary accommodation standards.
The project involved the conversion of former office spaces into a hotel and was completed in 2024. The client for the development is the St. Elisabeth Foundation. The intervention forms part of a broader regeneration and enhancement strategy for this central urban area, taking advantage of the regulatory framework for hospitality facilities within historic city centres.
The availability of the second floor of the palace made it possible to develop a high-end, private hotel concept that responds to the growing demand for exclusive accommodation in the centre of Bolzano.
In full compliance with heritage protection requirements, the existing building structure was preserved and the overall volume of the palace remained unchanged. The project aimed to safeguard the historical value of the Baroque building while creating functional, comfortable and contemporary interior spaces.
PLANTEAM was responsible for the overall design in collaboration with Arch. Claudio Hatz, as well as for the overall construction management and safety coordination, supporting the project throughout all phases of implementation.
