Rockfall protection Laudes

Rockfall protection Laudes – Efficient protective measures in alpine terrain

The “Rockfall protection Laudes” project represents innovative and sustainable solutions in the field of rockfall protection. By combining a massive rockfall protection dam with six high-performance rockfall barriers, a total length of 470 m has been secured, capable of absorbing energies up to 3,000 kJ. The 7.2 m high and 7.0 m wide dam, constructed from reinforced earth, features a reinforced concrete base, providing maximum protection in extremely steep terrain. Static calculations and FEM analyses confirm the durability and resilience of the structure, which remains stable even under extreme loads. The environmentally friendly reuse of excavated material significantly reduces the ecological footprint. Engineers and technology enthusiasts appreciate the meticulous planning and precise construction execution, ensuring a safe and sustainable infrastructure.
